Mother Goose

The Parent-Child Mother Goose Program® is a group experience for parents/caregivers, their babies and young children which focuses on the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs, and stories together. Parents/caregivers will gain skills and confidence which can enable them to create positive family patterns.  The P-CMGP is a group program in which parents/caregivers take part together with their infants or young children. Teaching is directed to the adults. The children participate as is appropriate to their stage of development and inclination. 

We can take up to 12 children per group and generally offer 3 sessions per year, September, January and April. Depending on the dates sessions will vary between 8-10 weeks long. Wait times for programs depend on the number on the waiting list.

Mother Goose is a free program in high demand. We have long waiting lists for each site, therefore participants will be enrolled in ONE session only. We understand that there is a great need for this type of program. The programs offered by Brighter Futures is dependent on Federal and Provincial funding.  We will continue advocate to all levels of government for further funding to increase Mother Goose and other programs.
