History

From April 1994 to November 1995 our Coalition was funded for a developmental phase in which we identified the needs of our communities, outlined constitution/operating policies, became incorporated as a non-profit organization and developed a long-term plan of action to address the issues in each of our communities.

After the developmental phase, there was a short break in funding, after which further funding was given for a program delivery phase. The money came through in October 1995. The Federal government showed that children and low-income families were a priority in April 1996 when they funded the Coalition for a minimum of three years for a delivery of programs. Since this time we have continued to receive funding from both levels of government.

We now receive core funding from:

Public Health Agency of Canada:

Community Action Program for Children (CAPC)
Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP)

Province of Newfoundland, Labrador:

Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
